OUR TEACHERS
Glenna WIlson
Director
This will be Glenna's 47th dance recital and she's still going strong. This is her 25th year traveling with the Showstopper National Dance Convention instructing their Mini Program. Glenna also gives inspirational ideas to teachers across the United States for their preschool programs. Glenna has taught as well for the Wisconsin NADDA Chapter for their summer workshops and for Carolina Dance Masters. She has been awarded several entertainment and choreography awards throughout the years for her routines and they are always included in the top overall status at the regional competitions her studio attends across North and South Carolina. Glenna attended UNC at Charlotte graduating with a degree in dance education grades K-12. She taught with the Children’s Theater in Concord, N.C. choreographing and directing their summer performances. Her students were invited to perform on Carnival Cruiselines as well as Disney Stages and Parades.
Miranda
Competition Director Instructor
Miranda, who is a former student since the age of 4 at Dance Dreams, and is a wonderful addition to Dance Dreams in offering her wide skill set to our competitive teams in lyrical/ballet, tap and jazz. Her choreography awards are proof that her natural "born to dance" attitude is inspiring to all the students.
Kendall
Instructor
Kendall has been dancing her entire life including performing as a competitive dancer ranking in the Top Overall Performers. She is a talented teacher and choreographer for all ages and is a wonderful gift as a staff member!
Kara Ballard
Asst Director
This is Kara's 23rd year at Dance Dreams as our Ballet, Lyrical and Jazz instructor. She is a graduate of UNC at Charlotte majoring in Dance Education. Kara originates from Kernersville, N.C. and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Kara competed and won several top overall soloist awards and studied extensively at the N.C. School of the Arts. She has performed with the Charlotte Golddusters Dance Team for 2 years where they placed 2nd in the nation for 2 years in a row. She also shared her talent as well with the Charlotte Bobcats as one of their dancers performing at NBA Basketball games from 2004-2007. She is proud to have graduates go on to make the dance teams at App State and NC State Universities! Kara currently teaches dance in the Charlotte area schools as well. Kara's choreography has won her students Top Overall in the Senior, Teen, & Junior Solo, Duet, and Group categories. She is the mother of a daughter, Kira, who is a student at Dance Dreams too! We are honored to have her share her talents with the students at Dance Dreams.
Lana
Instructor
Lana, is a former Dance Dreams student since the age of 3 dancing competitively for her entire dancing life! Lana has a special gift for not only teaching (especially little ones) but also for choreographing. Her attention to detail and patience is notably incredible. She is currently studying for her Fine Arts Degree.

Tasha
Instructor
Tasha began training in NY at Powers Dance Arts Center under the direction or Reggie Powers who danced in over 30 broadway musicals, as well as original ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, as well as the American Ballet Theater. Tasha was honored to have danced for the Orange County Ballet Theater for 7 years. Her participation in the OCBT consisted of the annual Nutcracker where she had several lead roles and was the first African American, Claire. Tasha graduated and went to college for 2 years and came back home to teach hip-hop, jazz, tap and ballet. She also had the opportunity to dance in Barcelona and Greece! Once Tasha moved to NC she began her career at Dance Dreams where she’s an assistant teacher to Kara and Miranda for the past 5 years now.
